Your Light Is Not Too Much

Somewhere along the way, a lot of us learned to dim our light.

Maybe we did it to make other people comfortable. Maybe we did it because someone said we were "too much." Too loud. Too emotional. Too excited. Too sensitive. Too opinionated. Too sparkly.

And maybe, for a while, we believed them. But your light is not too much, and it never was.

So we softened our joy. We swallowed our truth. We made ourselves smaller in rooms where we were actually meant to shine.

But here is what I am learning:

Dimming your light does not heal someone else's pain.

It just makes the room darker.

That one has hit me hard.

Because I think many of us confuse compassion with disappearing.

We think if someone else is struggling, we should not be too happy. If someone else is uncomfortable, we should not be too bold. If someone else is judging us, we should tone ourselves down.

Your Light Is Not Too Much

But your light is not the problem.

A smiling woman holding up F*ck It Cards while sitting at a table by a window.

Your light might actually be the reminder.

A reminder that joy is still possible. That laughter still belongs here. That healing does not always look quiet and serious. Sometimes healing looks like dancing in your kitchen. Sometimes it looks like saying the honest thing. Sometimes it looks like finally wearing the outfit, taking the trip, starting the thing, or pulling the card that makes you go, "Well, dang. That one was for me."

What the F*ck It Cards Actually Do

That's what I love about this little F*ck It Cards journey.

The cards do not pretend to solve everything. They are not therapy. They are not a magic wand. They are not here to fix your whole life in one pull.

But sometimes they offer a little spark.

A tiny moment of truth. A little permission. A loving nudge back toward yourself.

And sometimes that is enough to move differently through the day.

Your July Reminder

You do not have to be less bright to be more loving.

You can be compassionate and still be joyful. You can hold space for someone else and still take up your own.

You can care deeply and still choose your own peace. You can shine without apologizing for the glow.

Because your light is not too much.

Because the people meant for your light will not ask you to turn it down.

They may even find their way by it.

Cheers to F*ck It Magic,

Bre
